Ukraine upgrades Indian Air Force An-32 Aircraft(Press TV News)
The third batch of Ukrainian modernized An-32s light transport planes are on the take-off position to fly back to India. Back in 2009, the countries clinched the biggest bilateral deal in Ukrainian aviation history to modernize military cargo planes owned by the Indian Air Force. The upgraded An-32s have updated equipment for operation from airfields up to four thousand meters above the sea level as well as in hot conditions. The upgrades will help in increasing payload carrying capacity of the aircraft from around 6.7 tonnes to 7.5 tonnes and aim to prolong the airplanes' service life to 40 years. Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force assures that not a single Ukrainian plane has been meant to participate in any warfare. Ukrainian and Indian officials assured that those military cargo planes are to be used for transportation and humanitarian missions. Experts say India is now actively replacing and upgrading its armed forces which were mostly equipped with Soviet-origin inventory. They say Ukraine has great technical and scientific potential, especially in defence and aviation industries as it inherited the Soviet aeronautics capability. Courtesy:Press TV

BREAKING NEWS!!! - UPS 747F Cargo Crash
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — A UPS 747 cargo plane with two crew aboard crashed in Dubai shortly after takeoff Friday, the company said. The United Arab Emirates civil aviation authority said the bodies of the two crew members on board were recovered. The plane went down inside an Emirati air base near a busy highway intersection about 10 miles southeast of Dubai's international airport. UPS spokeswoman Kristen Petrella said the Boeing 747-400 went down at about 8 pm in Dubai. Flight 6 was en route to the UPS hub in Cologne, Germany, she said. An Associated Press photographer saw smoke rising from the crash site, which was shielded from the highway by walls. Migrants laborers from a nearby camp gathered along the roadside to watch. A large section of the plane was visibly on fire before it crashed. In October 2009, a Sudanese Boeing 707 cargo plane crashed in the desert outside Dubai, killing six crew members. UAE regulators have banned the plane's Sudanese owner from operating in the country.
